In the elective module "Views on Pleasure," every participant reads and reflects on pleasure. What is it for me? What is it for others? What gives me pleasure in my design process? This philosophical question is to be answered through a unique art piece of one's own choice.

Concept

The chapter that interested me the most was about hedonism in ancient Greece and the philosophies that came with it. I read about positive and negative hedonism and thought about my own take on it. Since there is only a two-dimensional view on the subject, I created a third take called "balanced hedonism," as it comes closest to my way of living life. I decided to create a poster illustrating the three versions, represented by the Greek hellhound Kerberos.
